TANKER ATTACKED.
SHIP SET ON FIRE. TUNIS, Aug. 16. The tanker British Commodore landed the crew of 38 from the Panama tanker George W. McKnight, 12,442 tons, who state that what appeared to be a submarine emerged from tlie sea 400 yards from their vessel and fired 20 rounds, slightly injuring five men and setting fire to the ship which remained adrift until the arrival of the British Commodore.
