CROSSBRED WOOL.
' BRADFORD STOCKS LOW. LONDON, Aug. 14. Stocks of crossbred wool at Bradford are the lowest within the memory of the oldest merchant. Between now and the end of November the main source of supply will be the London sales, and the small amount carried forward suggests that there is not much available in that quarter. There seems to he no doubt that the demand for crossbreds will again be substantial when the sell-* ing season opens. In addition to the Homo demand the Continent can scarcely hold off, while Japan s requirements are likelv to bo increased rather than decreased as a result of the Chinese-Japanese war. As an indication of the acute position at Bradford, various firms normally trading in overseas crossbreds have bought Homegrown at the sales in various parts or the United Kingdom.
