SHIPOWNER’S DEATH.
ADVENTUROUS LIFE

Lord liunciman, whose death has occurred, had a varied and- adventurous life. When 12 years of age he ran away from home to go td sea. At 20 he was a mate and at 24 hod secured a master’s certificate. At the age of 38 ho became a shipowner; a few yours later he was the biggest skillowner on the Tyne, and by 1914 he had become one of the largest owners in Britain.
Lord Rinicinian was senior partner in the ship-owning firm of Walter Rmr ciman and Co. Ho was born in 1847 and sat in Parliament from 1914 to 1918 for Hartlepool. He was the author of several books dealing with the old sailing ship days.
