ARREARS TO EX-WIFE.
SPANISH PRINCE’S MARRIAGES
Count Covadonga, eldest son of exKing Alfonso of Spain, has been ordered to pay £6O arrears of alimony to his ex-wife, a Cuban commoner. If lie fails in payment his property may be seized.
On his re-marriage to Marta Rocafort another beautiful Cuban commoner, he is abandoning his present title for that of Prince Alfonso de Bourdon. In May, when it was announced that the Count, just divorced, was planning to marry another Cuban commoner, it was said that ex-King Alfonso would have nothing to do with him, but a, member of Alfonso’s Court said the severance was temporary. “Alfonso will not cut off his son’s allowance,” it was said, “but he is highly displeased by his second marriage. Such a marriage is against the wishes of Spanish Catholics because the Count’s first marriage was not annulled by the Pope.”
