HARBOURING OF ALIEN.
Received August 13, 10.15 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 12. An inspector calling at a. girls’ school at Twickenham found a foreign baroness peeling potatoes in. the kitchen, and as a result Miss Alice Leith was fined £2 for harbouring an alien. It was alleged that she received foreign girls who paid for their education and also did housework. The chairman remarked : ‘‘She is very Inc *y. AVe poor people in England cannot often get servants even when we are willing to pa.V-”
