SENTENCES AT GISBORiSE.

In the Supreme Court this morning Mr Justice Reed sentenced James Alexander Denny, found guilty of an attempted grave offence, to 18 months’ reformative treatment. Charles Frederick Murphy, a half-caste ] jer in the week, was sentenced to Maori who had escaped from gaol eartwelve months’ gaol for false pretences and theft, the sentence to be cumulative with the others at present being served. „
