(From Our Own Correspondent.) POHANGINA. Aug. 11. The Methodist Church anniversary concert was hold cn Thursday evening, there being a good attendance. Tho programme was rendered by members of the Ashhurst choir, led by Mr Findlay. Mr Sinclair expressed appreciation and proposed a vole of thanks. The programme was as follows Anthem. “AVe Como a Happy Throng”; glee. “Sweet, and Low.” choir; quartette. “Drink to Me Only,” Mrs Tun-. niclilTc, Alisa AVoodroofc, Mr Findlay, and All- Tunmcliffe; anthem, “Offer Unto God Thanksgiving,” choir (soloist, Airs Brewer); recital, “Some AV. H. Lax Stories.” Rev. C. A. Foslon; glee, “The Ash Grove,” choir; recitation, “AA’hcn Father Carved the Duck,” Master John Peek; duet, “Keys of Heaven,” Mr and Mrs Tuunicliffe; anthem, “Seeking the Lost,” “Hold Hold,” ' “Poka'rokarc,” “AVhiapors of Heaven,” choir; recitation, “The Inventor’s AVife,” Airs Peck; solo, “Silver Hair and Heart of Gold,” Air Tttnnicliffo; anthem, “Spring in Here.” glee. “The End of a Perfect Day,” choir. Air T. Sinclair presented ihc annual report and balfanec-sheet, the latter showing a small credit balance. Supper served by tho lady members of tho church brought an enjoyable evening to a clc6c.
