FOXTON BEACH

IMPROVEMENT SOCIETY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Aug. 10. The monthly meeting of the Foxton Beach Improvement Society Committee was presided over by Mr A. Alsop, an apology for absepce being received from the president (Mr M. E. Perreau). Also present were Messrs G. Wells, W. Ingram, G. Watchorn, 0. Coles, V. Kggcrs and the secretary (Mr A. I). Macpherson). A vote of thanks was accorded Messrs G. Watchorn and W. Ingram for their generosity in assisting the society tef improve its financial position. It was decided to approach the Manawatu Automobile Association with reference to the speed of ears travelling on the beach, asking it to 'erect the necessary signs in suitable places, a speed limit of twenty miles per hour being suggested. It was also decided to ask three residents who own stock to see the animals did not go on to tho roads or into the reserve.
