THE ALL BLACKS.

RANKIN GOING TO OTAKI. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 11. J. G. Rankin, the Canterbury loose forward picked for training with the All Blacks for the first Test match against South Africa on Saturday, left Cliristchurch by air this morning for Wellington. It is not certain, however, that Rankin will be quite fit to turn out on Saturday. Rankin was examined by a doctor this morning before he left Christchurch, but it is likely that his Test appearance' will depend on subsequent examinations at Otaki.
