PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION. At a meeting of the executive of the Palmerston North Boys’ High School Parents’ Association, Air A. A. Langley presided, and also present were Mesdames Dick, Seator, Palmer, Pierard, RatcJiffe, Perrin, and Sheppard, and Alessrs Grigor, Kay, Seator, Oliver, Cope, Pierard, Abraham, King, the secretary (Air J. K. Paton), aim the rector (Mr J. Murray). A letter received frotu the Hoard ot Governors was "read to the executive, in which they expressed their thanks for the donation of .LIU and also their appreciation of the work that the association is doing for the school. It is proposed to hold a ladies bridge afternoon in the near future, the date to be fixed by Airs Murray and Airs Langley. The chairman informed the committee that in accordance with a previous resolution lie had made arrangements for the purchase of approximately x-11 worth of books for the school library. In" view of the inadequacy ot the present assembly hall it was decided to set up a trust fund to build a new one -that will accommodate all the scholars comfortably. In order to give the fund a start the association has donated £25. This and all donations received will he placed in the Post Office Savings Bank under the title, Palmerston North Boys’ High School New Assembly Hall Trust Account. The trustees of the account for the time being will be the chairman and treasurer. Air Oliver was requested to give an estimate of the cost of repair of the light screens for the cricket ground,
