OBITUARY.
MR W. S. C- NICHOLL. The death lias occurred at Wellington, reports a Press Association telegram, of Mr William Seharman Crawford Nicholl, of Waitekauri, the best known and experienced prospector in the North Island. He was the earliest prospector at 'Martha Hill to discover payable ore in connection With the famous Martha wide. Mr Nicholl', who was 85 years of acre, had remarkable experiences on the various goldfields, including Klondike and Fiji.
