GORE RATEPAYER’S DECISION. Per Press Association. GORE, Aug 10 Rather than pay a fine of i“2 imposed by the Court as h lesult of actions by the Borough C< unci., a Gore ratepayer went lo gaol for 14 days. This was revealed -it last right's meeting of the council as a sequel to an action against a ratepayer who refused to clear gorse fro mins property. The Major Mr Newman) said that the man was stubborn and was under the impression -hat os be had paid his rates the ->o.incil fliould cut the gorse. Councillors suggested that the unemployed do work os the n an had now been, sufficiently rurifbed. The matter was left :n the iiancs of the Town Clerk.
