PIGEON SHOOTING.
SOUTH ISLAND TITLE MATCH. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 9. After a shoot-off with H. Grennell, C. Wilson and W. Doyle, P. Chamberlain won the South Island pigeon title this morning at Sockburn. Conditions for the championship were 17 birds at 28 yards. Chamberlain, Grennell, Wilson and Doyle all had one miss after 17 rounds and took part in a five-bird shoot-off. They shared the £2l .optional sweep prize money.
