BAFFLING FLIES.

COLOUR AS A MEDIUM. LONDON, July 29. “What colour do Lies like least?” is a question which is being discussed by architects and decorators. Mr G. B. I. Athoe. secretary of the Incorporated Association of Architects and Surveyors, after a visit to France, where he inspected various hospitals and clinics, said that when he asked why the wa'ls were all painted a medium blue he was informed by doctors and architects that experience had proved that flies showed a noticeable dislike for the colour. The view of others is that, while flies might not like medium blue, it is a colour which is, for patients, less cheering than p : nk. primrose or yellow. Thus the psychological factor enters presumably opening a wider field for experiment.
