ARBOR DAY.

All citizens are invited to attend tho planting of the first trees in the Recreational Area at Terraco End which has up to tho present been used as a gravel pit. Considerable satisfaction has boon expressed at the successful negotiations by the Uty Council for acquiring this reserve for re creational purposes, and the ceremony of planting tho trees will lake place at 245 pm to-morrow (Wednesday), which is Arbor Day. The senior pupils of Terrace End School will bo present, and trees will be planted by Councillor C. Jrcmnme (Deputy-Mayor and chairman of tho Gity Reserve Committee), and by Mosers ,7. A. Naah (president), and J • W Henderson (chairman of ihc Terraco End Development and Progressive Association' It is hoped that all member? of the association Will show their interest in this initial step towards tho beautifying of the. reserve.
