AVIATION SERVICES.

SOUTH AFRICAN PLANS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 7. Lieut.-Colonel J. Muirhead, Undersecretary for Air, will proceed shortly on a visit to East Africa to meet Mr Pirow, Minister ,of Railways and Harbours and of Defence, of the Union of South Africa, at Mombasa with a view to discussing with him various civil aviation questions, particularly arrangements for the working of the Empire air mail service to South Africa and the joint service between Kisumu and Lusaka. Subsequently the Under-Secretary will make a tour of inspection of the Royal Air Force stations in the Sudan, Egypt and Iraq.
