DAYLIGHT CROSSING
ATLANTIC CLIPPER’S FLIGHT. PORT BOTWOOD, Aug. 6. The Pan-American Clipper arrived from Foynes, Ireland, after making the first daylight crossing of the Atlantic. Its time for the flight was 16 hours 21 minutes. Slight rain and a steady head wind were encountered. CAMBRLUS~FLIGHT. (British Official Wireless.) Received August 9. 10.20 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 7, The Cambria is not expected to start the return flight across the Atlantic from Port Botwood to Foynes before Sunday evening at the earliest.
