GRASS PLOTS.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Sometime back the City Council levelled the sides of the road in Albert Street and put down grass plots. Later, the plots were shifted a reasonable distance from the bitumen so as to give horsemen plenty of room. Some of us have taken a great pride in keeping those plots in good order, and in spite of plenty of room being available between the bitumen and grass they are still being damaged. Surely it is time some civic pride was shown in this matter.—l am, etc., J. W. HODGSON. 71 Albert Street, Palmerston North,
