SACRED CONCERT.

A sacred concert in aid of the Feild ing Municipal Band funds was held last evening. The programme was under tile direction of the Municipal Band and Air J. L. Fleetwood was the conductor. There was an excellent attendance, and Air P. Guy was the announcer. An apology was received from Mrs L. Hall, who was unable to attend. The accompanists were Aliss AI. Garrett and Mr A. Feeney. The following was the programme: “Newcastle,’’ "Lustopice,” band; song, “Old Sweet Song,’’ Miss AI. Guy (Stanway); hymn, “Holy Night,” selection, band ; songs, “The Rose of Tralee.” “Old Fashioned House,” Air AV. AA’ard; xylophone solo, “Sparks,” Air AAV Bray; “Slidin’ Through the Rye,” “Comfort Ye” (Messiah), band; song, “Anchored,” Air F. S. Collier; march, “8.8. and C.F.,” band; selections, orchestra. The programme was well rendered, and the concert proved a success financially.
