WEST END SCHOOL BALL.
The West End School annual plain and fancy dress hall take's place in the Manawatu A. and P. entertainment hall. Showgrounds! on Thursday, August 12. Preparations for this function arc veil in hand and tho committee is leaving no stone unturned to make the ball an outstanding feature Tho grand march for the children is timed to start at 6.30 p.m. and the children will occupy the floor until 9.30 when they will be transferred to an adjoining hall leaving adult dancers use of the larger hall'. A full professional orchestra has been engaged. Dancing will bo strictly old-time. The catering is in the hands of a capable ladies’ committee. Bondspeakers are being installed, and intending patrons are assured of a most enjoyable evening’s entertainment.
