OUTSTANDING JERSEY BULL
FOR NELSON PROVINCE.
The -well-known Nelson breeder. Mr A. F. Berry, of Rockville, Collingwood. has recently been successful in Securing an outstanding pedigrees Jersey bull through the stud stock department of the N.Z. Loan krtd Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. Bred by Mr ’J. A. Mitchell, of Longburn, this young bull was sired by Brampton Coy Volunteer (imp.), and his dam was Voluniecr April Lady (imp.), C.0.R.. 621 b. fat. Bj-amtpon Coy Volunteer is tho sire of many v.h.c. cows, show winners, and high butter, fat producers. Santa Rose Lady Volunteer, who produced 6311 b fat C.O.R. test, is a full sister to Mr Berry s young bull. It, is questionable whether a better young sire could be procured to-day from the Jersey Islands, as both parents are direct importations bred from the very best strains procurable, and Mr Berry is to be congratulated on his enterprise in securing such a valuable young bull, who no doubt will prove a valuable acquisition to tho Jersey breed in the Nelson province.
