MOVIE BALL.
Put on your “gladrags,” and cotne and make merry with the film folk at the Movie Ball on Wednesday, August. 18. sponsored by the theatres of Palmerston North. This function promises to be flip gayest and smartest ball of the year, with magnificent decorations, nnd dazzling floor shows, which include the special engage menfs of “Wriggle Etto.” from leading overseas cabarets in his original eccentric dances Fred Heelev, the man at (lie “miko,” Alex Regan, well-known stage and radio star, dancing ballets, and musical novelty numbers by Fred Gcdson and lus aces are to bo featured. A special feature of the bail will he the motion picture sets; in this connection photogrnphs and free advice will be gladly given_ by any of the theatre managers of the city. The oil* tire proceeds are in aid of Christmas choor funds for the children’s homes, Willard, All Saints’ and the St. Vincent do Paul Society.; The cause is a worthy ono and is worthy of patronage. Tickets are selling fast and patrons are advised to obtain their tickets without delay at any of tho local theatres.
