A good night light for a sick-room is to cover the electric light globe with the blue paper usually wrapped around cottonwool. This gives plenty of light without disturbing the patient.
Pleats of a skirt will remain in position much better if the material is dampened with a weak solution of gum arabic at the time of pressing. A piece of flannel damped with peroxide of hydrogen and dipped in cream of tartar will remove marks from a porcelain bath.
AVatereress sprinkled with salt and steamed makes a very delicious vegetable.
