BASKETBALL.

Y.M.C.A. AIATC'HES. A triangular contest in men’s basketball between teams representing the Wellington A'.AT.C.A., the Wanganui YAI.C.A., and the Palmerston North Y.Af.C.A., was field in Wanganui on Saturday evening. A good gallery of spectators witnessed some fine exhibitions of this fast, exciting, and exliilirnting game. Contests of this nature are being played over the whole of the Dominion, and there is 110 doubt that, as an indoor game, basketball is rapidlv finding favour amongst the young mm of to-day. The results of the eompetition are as follow :—AVellington 9 v. AA’anganui 21 • Palmerston North 62 v. Wanganui 17 i Wellington 22 v. Palmerston North 20.
