NOTES.
Members of the Feilding Orange Lodge held their annual parade at the Methodist Church, last evening. There was a good attendance and a fitting service was conducted by Rev. J. H. Allen. There were visitors present from Marlon and Palmerston North, and following the service the}’ were entertained at supper by the local members. A visit was paid to the Fending Agricultural High School, on Saturday, by Mr AY. J. Lyon, M.P., for Wait.einata. Mr C. 13. McClure, act-ing-headmaster, showed the visitor over the school building and farm property. Mr Lyon expressed himself as'being well pleased with the work of the school, and said that lie was pleased to visit the school, which had a Dominion-wide reinitiation. Prizewinners at the Feilding Municipal Band Queen’s weekly euchre, tournament were as follow: Ladies, Mrs King. Misses Lavery and hoot; men, Messrs AVatson and Fislier. Mr G. AVells won a special prize. The Mortgagors’ Adjustment Com-
mission commenced a sitting in Fending this morning. The commission consists of Messrs U. H. Harper (chairman), AV. Low Black and H. W. Jenkins.
Four holding paddocks, three for sheep and one J'or_ cattle, have been acquired by the Railway Department to meet the increased business in live stock" transport ip Feikling. At present the yards are being prepared and subdivided in readiness for next season. A total of 40 trucks of cattle and 100 trucks of sheep were transported by rail from the fast two Feikling stock sales. v
