LATE MISS M. MOORE

PULPIT TRIBUTE. The very high esteem in which the late Miss M. Moore was held throughout the district was shown by the large attendance at the luneral service, yesterday afternoon, when the Baptist Church, of which Miss Moore was a devoted member, was fi.led. Miss Moore was the leader of the senior girts' Bible class, president of the Baptist Church Women’s Missionary Union and leader of the Women’s Fellowship. A beautiful tribute was paid by the members of tiie senior girls’ Bible class, who formed a guard of honour as the casket left the church.

In eulogising the qualities of the late Miss Moore, Rev. J. C. Macky said that in her passing one of the choicest spirits they had ever known had quietly slipped away from her earthly temple to the possession of “a house not made with hands, etema! in the heavens.” Miss Moore’s name was an honoured one in the church and in the city and hundreds throughout New Zealand would deeply regret her departure. All would miss her delightful personality infectious laughter and sweet reason ableness.
