OPENING OF INVESTIGATION. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 5. The Sea Fisheries Investigation Committee commenced sitting at Auckland to-day. the first witness bej nf r Mi- T. F. Anderson, secretary of the Auckland branch of the Federaated Seamen’s Union of New Zealand. During the afternoon evidence was given by a number of fishermen, the owners of seine net vessels. Air J. Thorn, ALP.. Is presiding. The proceedings are being taken in committee.
