MOUNT VAL’S SUCCESS. INJURY TO L. J. ELLIS. Per Press Association. OAMARU, July 3. The Oamaru Jockey Club’s winter meeting was held to-day in fine but dull weather before a good attendance. The track was greasy after a week’s heavy frosts. Dent broke a bone in an ankle when .Miss Shambles fell in the Steeplechase and L. J. Klliis dislocated a shoulder when Alary Pratt fell in the Winter Handicap and brought down his mount. Silver Lark.
