Received July 3, 11.35 a.m. LONDON, July 2. “I am well pleased with the results of my eight months visit,” Hon. W. Nash told tho Australian Associated Press before leaving for homo on July 3. He said that he had accomplished probably the most profitable, work he had ever done in discussing with the British Government New Zealand s future plans and the extending oi Her trade to the United Kinguom. Mr Nash indicated that the results were a brighter possiuility of a better trade pact with Britain, although it was likely ’ that the negotiations . will cuuxluue ior some inontns yet, and also an increase in trade witn Germany, Holland, rranee, anil Russia, particularly as regards wool. m- Nasn uttered a warning that it Britain was unwilling to get more into the wool market she wouid find New Zealand going elsewhere. While declining to divulge any results of the Pacific shipping and transTasman ai>' route discussions, Mr Nash said he expected a measure of finality soon and added that he hoped that the new meat agreement quota would iurtiier be increased in 1938.
