FROZEN MEAT TRADE.
LONDON MARKET QUIET. The Bank of Australasia has received the following cable, dated July 1, from its London office:—• Frozen lambs: At the beginning of the month supplies limited, market firm; present prices affecting demand. Recent increased arrivals from New Zealand have caused weaker Undertone, more especially secondary lambs, now embracing a larger proportion than usual. Patagonian supplies have caused prices slightly lower for Australian lambs. Frozen mutton: New Zealand wethers, supplies limited, prices firm. Ewes: Australian mutton, sales restricted; market easier owing to arrivals of Patagonian mutton selling at low' prices. Frozen beef: Stocks. have been increased, market easier, especially for forward shipments.
