GIFT EVENING.

A .jolly evening was held on Friday at the home of Mrs H. Matthews, Mt. Stewart, in the form of a surprise party, the occasion being a gift party arranged by members of the Sanson Methodist Church in honour of Miss Violet Matthews and Mr R. Osborne, who are to he married shortly. Rev. R. E. Fordyce, as M.C., kept things moving in a bright and jovial manner, with games, competitions and community singing. At a suitable juncture the young couple were called upon to open the parcels, the contents of which proved both useful and ornamental. Mr Osborne suitably replied.
