FISHERMEN CHARGED. QUESTION OF LAW. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 2. Eight business and professional men and farmers were charged on summons in the Police Court this morning with fishing in the prohibited waters of Lake Rotoaira, near Rotoru.a. Mr McCarthy, of the Crown Solicitor’s office, Auckland, said that the matter involved was a question of law and asked for a week’s adjournment. Those charged were: Haloid E. Barrow Clough, solicitor; William W. Dove, merchant; William H. Cocker, solicitor; John R. Grey, solicitor; Ernest A. Harding, farmer; John R. Morris, headmaster; Cecil A. Whitney, merchant; Bruce McLeod, farmer.

The hearing was adjourned until Friday.
