FEILDING SALE.
IMPROVED VALUES. ' COWS IN DEMAND. Improved prices were paid for dairy cattle at the Eeilding sale to-day, when larger offerings than at recent sales were yarded. There was a particularly keen demand for winter calver cows by small dairy farmers desirous of securing cows close to profit. The sum of £8 5s was paid for a third ealver at drop. There was a heavy yarding of boner cows and bidding was crisp, exporters competing freely ._ Prices ranged from 27s Gd to £3 l,s Gd. A heavy yarding of fat sheep included a largo proportion of lambs. Sheep were very firm at late ) rates exporters competing freely with local butchers. There was a heavy yardin.' of store lambs, and considering qiuility prices for breeding ewes were about late rates. Prices up to 1 p.m. were as lollow: Dairy cattle. —£3 ss, £4 10s, £5 ss, £G £6 10s, and £7 2s Gd ; spg. heifers’ 03 2s Cd. £3 ss, £3 7s £3 15s, £4’2s Gd, £4 ss, £5. £5 12s Gd, £5 15s i second calvers, £o 2s Gd j cow in milk, £3 ss.
