SYDNEY, July 1. The opinion was expressed at the '.nst annual conference of the Graziers’ Association of New South Wales that the effectiveness of the embargo oil the export of Merinos was endangered by the sale of sheep to New Zealand. A resident of Wellington, New Zealand, designating himself “A. 8.” in a letter to Uie Morning Herald, issues a warning to Australian sheepmen that the purpose ot the embargo is jeopardised l>y the export of Merinos from New Zealand to countries to which the Australian embargo applies. He suggests that it may be advisable for the Commonwealth Government to prohibit the export of sheep to New Zealand, and adds: “New Zealand is sending Merinos to Japan and any country she can sell them to.”
