PRODUCE AND POULTRY. The Dominion Auctioneering Coy. reports ns follows: Vegetables have been in rather short supply, and with a keen demand prevailing prices for .all lines have l>een very firm. There has been a limited supply of fruit for the week, all lines meeting with a rea.dv sale at prices in the vendors’ favour. Poultry again came forward in large quantities, full pens resulting in a total clearance at very satisfactory prices. There was a keen demand fori all lines, with a rising tendency. A good entry of pigs came forward with a particularly keen enquiry for weaners, porkers and slips also being in demand. We quote as follow: Fruit and Produce. —Apples, Delicious 5s to 8s fid per bushel, Jonathans 4s 6d to fis 6d, Ttallarats 7s Od to 8s Od, Sturmers 5s to 8s 6d, Statesman 5s Od to 7s Od, Granny Smiths 8s 6d to 9s Od, Dougherties 5s Od to 7s Od, Washingtons 3s Od to 7s. Pears, Winter Coles 10s to 13s per I case. Lemons, best. 17s to 20s per case; others, 12s to 10s. Parsnips, 2s Od to 4s per sugar bag. 11 hnbarb, Os to 7s Od per dozen. Cauliflower, 10s to 20s per sack; 11s to 14« per bog. Cabbage, os to 7si 6d per sack ; 2s to 4s Od per bag. Spinach, 2s to 2s 8d per dozen. Pumiv kins, 11s to 15s per sack. Potatoes, ±,t 5s to £9 per ton. Onions, 7s to 12s Od per cental. Marrows. 5s to is od per bag. Lettuce, 3s 8d to 10s per case. Kumare.s. 0s to 8s per sugar bag. Carrots, 2s Od to 4s per sugar bag. Celery. 10s Od to 14s per case. Beetroot, Od to Is Od per dozen. Poultry.—Breeding cockerels, 69 to 7s Od each, table cockerels 7s Od to 10s per pair, light breeds 6s Od to 8s 6<b fat roosters 6s to Bs, light roosters fas to 7s, fat 8.0. hens Os 2d to 1 s 10d. W.L. hens Os to 7s, light hens 4s fad to Os, pullets 5s to 7s Gel each, ducks Os to 7s per pair. Pigs.—Weaners 13s to 14s. slips 14 to 20s, stores 16s to 25s 6d, light porkers 35s to 40s, lambs 20s.
