BUNNYTHORPE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) BUNNYTHORRIS, June 30. Mr A. Guy, who was operated on during the week, is progressing tuvourably. The football mutch, Jackoytown v. Bunnythorpo, resulted in a win for the home team. The game was not in progress long before Bunnythorpe opened up the play, resulting in Wiggins scoring. ’then P. Lacey (Bunnythorpe) scorou and Barton converted. Mitchell, for Jackoytown, put in a great run to be well tuken by-ilyde. In the second spell Jackeytown had Bunnythorpe defending, when 1.. Duthic intercepted and removed play to the visitors goal line, and a force down resulted. Jackeytown took (day to midfield, resulting in Richardson scoring. 'I ime was called with the score, Bunnythorpe 14, Jackeytown 3. Mr J. Pinfold refereed.

Howell and Mrs Boag, Tokomaru Bay, have been visiting Mr and Mrs O. Jackson. On Wednesday a political address was given in the Public Hall by Mr W. J. Lyon, M.P. for Waitomata, there being a good attendance. Mr D. Hoggin presided anil welcomed the speaker. Mr Lyon gave a lengthy address on the aims and objects of tho Labour Party and what thov had carried out.
