Congratulations to Mr J. G. Crooks on his promotion to the position of accountant in the National Bank of New Zealand at Christchurch were offered at to-dav’s meeting of the Citizens’ Lunch Club.

At to-day’s meeting of the Citizens’ Lunch Chili reference was made by Air D. AA . Low to the recent deaths of Airs AA’. McKenzie and AD N. H. Nash who, he said, had been citizens of the ctv of long standing and had won the high esteem of the community. A motion of symnatliv with the bereaved relatives was carried in silence.
