WATERSIDERS’ ACTIONS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. July 1. Holding that an eight-hour day worked on a phosphate cargo in a high wind was sufficient, the waterside workers refused to work overtime on the new motor-ship Waiana yesterday. The Waiana is discharging phosphate from Safaga, in the Red Sea. This morning negotiations were entered into between the employers and the wntersiders, and to-night overtime will be worked.
