MINIATURE RIFLES.

PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. A general meeting of the newly formed Palmerston North Rifle Club was held last- evening. Air. J. At. Gordon presiding over a very good attendance. There was a short discussion on, tbe name of the new club, and it was decided to alter the name to the Palmerston North (Linton) Miniature Rifle Club, tbe name Linton being embraced as a gesture to the now defunct Linton Club, tbe trustees of which had offered tbe use of their rifles. Members expressed appreciation ol the trustees’ sporting action. The opening shoot was fixed tentatively for Tuesday evening next. Air J*’. C. Litchfield was appointed auditor. | Votes of thanks were accorded several ivice-presidents lor donations ol casli and trophies.
