Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. July 1. “This is a wonderful part- of New Zealand ” was the text of a cable received in. Auckland to-day by an intimate friend of Mr Joseph Brown, who referred to Auckland as part ol Australia (as reported in a cable oil page q) Sydney is apparently laughing at Mr Brown. but Air Brown is also laughing at Sydney Mr Brown’s friend says that he doji jehts >'> leg-pulling. Before his retirement several years ago he was a suc- | nessful interior decorator with 17 branch shops throughout England; since then ho has lived in the South of France, travelling extensively abroad each year. Before leaving New Zealand for Sydney he made it known that he was going to he the unofficial ambassador of tourist travel in the Dominion and took away an extensive collection of photographs of scenic attractions.
