WELLINGTON TAXIS
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. July 1. Bv an almost unanimous resolution a meeting of over a hundred liieniheis of the Wellington Taxi Proprietors and Owners’ Association to-night decided to form a co-operative taxi company in Wellington. The constitution and articles of association were approved, a provisional directorate set up and the company proceeded to allotment. The constitution is stated to be wide enough to take every taxi proprietor under its wing, giving an adequate return to every taxi operator .and an adequate service to the public. The meeting decided that representations be made to the Government that it bring the taxi business under the Transport- Licensing Act.
