The question of hotel licensees’ bona fnle guests being on the premises durum prohibited hours and, incidentally, simply in g them with liquor was raised j n the Appeal Court which is hearing the case of William Mackenzie versus William John Harper'. Lillian Mackenzie, wife of appellant was convicted and fined at Christchurch by Air E. C. Levvc-y, S.M. on a charge of supplying liquor after hours at Tattersalls Hotel. Defendant pleaded not guilty. Tlie Magietrate found as a fact that the persons supplied were at tile time bona fide guests of Airs Mackenzie.
