The United Press correspondent at Lae (New Guinea) says Mrs Earhart Putnam lias postponed her departure til to-morrow due to a broken fuel line, neccessitating repairs. REASON FOR DELAY. Received Julv 2, 9.50 a.m. NEW YORK, July 1. Tt is now stated in connection with Mrs Putnam’s departure from Lae lor Howland Island that the delay is due to a broken fuel line, also wireless static at Malabar making it impossible to obtain time signals by which to set the chronometer of her ’plane.
