ALL WELL IN MADRID
DEFENDING LEADER’S CLAIM. Received July 2, 8.5 a.m. MADRID, July 1. The Commander-in-Chief of the city, General Maija, asserts that Madrid’s food supply is almost normal; even bread is not rationed though fresh meat is scarce. Restaurants are serving three-course meals and wine and beer are plentiful. The trains are running regularly.
