J lie lact tout a man is sincere is no excuse tor gross inaccuracy ; it is, however, a good reason for ms avoiding puuiicity. in referring to tne New Zealand National Party he publishes a number of assumptions, none of winch has any backing of tact, so may be ignored. He is’ lisliing for information, no doubt for bis own ends, the information will be forthcoming in due course when the party considers the time opportune. If twenty-five years of travel produces the liiuddle of assumptions, opinions and hypotheses included in Ins last letter, I wonder bow many years of travel would be necessary to induce clear thinking and accuracy.
