HUNTED ESTATE CASE.
FURTHER EVIDENCE HEARD. WELLINGTON, June 30. The hearing of the claim by Lady Hunter for the removal of Cyril Paul Hunter, Akitio, and Thomas Percy Hunter, Porangahati, from the trusteeship of the estate of her late husband, Sir George Hunter, was continued in the Supreme Court at Wellington today. To enable a witness to be heard before leaving oil a trip abroad, the evidence of Lady Hunter, commenced the previous day, was interrupted. Walter Edward Barber, sheepfarmer, Foxton, whose evidence lias interposed, said that after inspecting the Porangahau station lie formed the impression that the place had once been well run hut was now neglected. He gave details of the respects in which lie found fault with the management. Continuing her evidence, Lady Hunter said that she herself, had seen beautiful ewes and hoggets, with a market value of 38s each, killed for consumption on the station. There were 46 rabbiting dogs on the property, and she had counted as many as 39 sheep dogs. Both classes of dogs were fed with meat. Lady Hunter was still in the box when the court adjourned.
