WRESTLING.
STEIN BEATS LITTLE WOLF. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June 30. Chief Little Wolf, a Navajo Indian from Colorado, made his first appearance in the New Zealand wrestling ring here to-night, losing to Sammy Stein on points after each had gained ono fall. Little Wolf entered the ring draped in a brightly-coloured shawl and gaudy Indian headdress. _ Short and broad, ho measures approximately two feet across the back, and in tonight’s bout was an easy target for Stein’s flying tackles. The first six rounds were evenly fought, hut in the seventh Stein struck the Indian with four flying tackles in rapid succession and pinned him to n fall with a body press. The Indian gained a submission fall from a deathloek soon after tbo last round opened. Stein was given the decision on points, Little Wolf leaving tho ring protesting.
