ANNIVERSARY TEA.

ST. PAUL’S METHODIST CHURCH

The 62nd anniversary of St. Paul’s Methodist Church, which was marked by special services last Sunday, was celebrated, last night, by the holding of an anniversary tea. There was a large .attendance presided over by Rev. M. A. McDowell, who extended a welcome and expressed pleasure in the size of Sunday’s congregations and last night’s gathering. The Ladies’ Guild catered for the tea, and the tables were laden with delicacies. After tea, an anniversary concert was presented by the various sections of the church, items being: Opening hymn and prayer; “Birthday Greeting,”'the Cubs; recitation, Pat Penny; dramatic sketch. Bov Scouts; song. Mrs Miller; anthem, “Tlear My Prayer,” the choir; sketch, “Our Flag.” Girl Guides; pianoforte solo, Lorraine Gordon; play, “Simon of Cyrene,” Bible classes. Between items, members of the Thrust Board entertained by broadcasting through a radio set.

On the motion of Mr S. L. Laurenson, lion, secretary of the trust, votes of thanks were accorded the ladies for the tea, the choirmaster, Mr A. Tregurtha, and members of the choir, for their services throughout the year, and the ladies responsible for the decorations, as well as others who assisted.
