NEW SCULPTURE HALL. OPENING BY KING. (British Official Wireless.) Received July 1, 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, June 29. The King and Queen drove from Buckingham Palace in an open landau, drawn by four Windsor greys to the Tate Gallery, where His Majesty opened the new sculpture halls, which are a gift to Lord Duveen. The King described the new halls a* the finest in the world and congratulated the gallery, which owes its origin to private generosity, on the fact that benefactors have always been ready to subscribe towards the extension of its scope.
