ROTARY CLUB.

SOCIAL GATHERING. A most enjoyable gathering of Rotary Club members and their sons and daughters took place in the Cosmopolitan Hall, last night. The programme comprised modern and old-time dances, Mr E. J. Hicken being the M.C. The president (Mr G. G. Priest) and Mrs Priest were present, the former extending a welcome to those present. Mrs Priest wore a Viennese frock of black crinkled taeeta with a white organdie flower. An appetising supper was served, Messrs G. Patt.le (piano) and FI. Bell' (drum effects) playing several extras during that period. Later in the evening, Mr A. J. Pattle (piano) rendered two extras. Competition dances were won as follow - Novelty fox-trot, Miss Pamela Buchanan and Air R. Stevenson; Monte Carlo waltz, Miss Joan Barnett and Air E. Collinson ; lucky spot fox-trot. Airs G. G. Hancox and Air T. A. Daley: lnckv Gay Gordons, Aiiss I. Bell and Air V. Gerrand.
